Year 6 explore Prinsted

Friday 13th May, Year 6, as part of their Chichester Conservancy work, had an afternoon down at Prinsted Beach. One of the the aims of the session, led by Dr Alison Barker, was to provide a better understanding of the diversity of plants and invertebrate life on the shores of Chichester Harbour.

Children worked in groups to collect samples from the beach for analysis as well as looking at plants and creatures living on the beach. The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by all with everyone gaining a greater insight into the significance of the beach for biodiversity. A huge thank you goes to Alison for leading such a fantastic session.
