Roald Dahl Day

On Monday 19th October, lower base held their fantastic Roald Dahl day!

Children across the base had the opportunity to create a dream jar, inspired by the story of the BFG, who catches good dreams and gives them to children.

We also had a character fashion show and we talked about all the characters that they had come dressed up as.

Then, in the afternoon, Year 3 watched Fantastic Mr Fox while Year 4 watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. These movies came at the end of the topic and had been the class books for the half term. The children are now producing a piece of writing which will compare the characters and plot lines of these classic childrens books with their filmed counterparts.

Everyone had a fantastic time and the costumes of both staff and pupils were wonderful. The staff would like to thank the continuing support of the parents in making such enormous efforts with the outfits!!

Well done Lower Base!
